Gewalt quickly made their mark with the release of eleven 7-inch singles across various labels.
Their debut album "Paradies" followed in 2021, released as an LP and box set (DoLP & Book) on the Hamburg label Clouds Hill.
Their follow up LP,"Doppeldenk",
also on Clouds Hill, came in 2024 and manifested
their position of the most influential German avant-garde project.
Gewalt has played over 250 concerts worldwide, touring through Germany, Austria, Switzerland, USA, Mexico, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, and Slovenia.
In 2018, global superstar Jack White invited them to support his tour in Germany. They later shared stages with international acts such as Raveonettes, Fat White Family, Tricky, and White Hills.
In 2025 they toured in Mexico/USA invited by Jake Garcia from The Black Angels to play at the 13th Floor
in Austin, TX and invited by Oliver
Ackermann from the APTBS to play 3 shows at the
New Colossus Festival in NYC.
In April 2025 they
toured the UK for the first time.
